The cover depicts an avatar of Nyarlathotep and draws inspiration from 'The Haunter of the Dark' and other related Lovecraft tales. This release will serve as a precursor to the MLP the band is currently crafting. BNB is closed until further notice. Relocation and reorganization are in order over the new year. No new commissions will be worked on until February 2011.

Canadian death metal plague bearers MITOCHONDRION have completed work on their new album “Parasignosis”.

Making quite an impression and becoming a force within the death metal underground with their self-released now out of print “Archaeaeon” debut, where the band introduced the death metal world with their brand of time-stretching vitriolic complex brutal ambient death metal. The band would inevitably gain the reputation as one of Canada’s most devastating and creative death metal bands today. And since the state within the current landscape of Canadian death metal today hasn’t really shown its promise in what seems like ages, MITOCHONDRION (who initially hailed from the area that encases the infamous Ross Bay cemetery) would begin to help signal a paradigm shift where, along with their fellow comrades in the elite Canadian Satanic death/black metal band Weapon, would in-turn help lead a movement destined to bring awareness to where the new elite sanctions within the Canadian extreme metal scene now lie.

Meticulously planned, initiated, and constructed in the most obsessive of manners over the last several years, “Parasignosis” is epic death metal chaos manifested. Firstly some new work:

Recently completed this sigil for New Zealand start-up label Internecion Productions. I'll be working with them on further branding as well as handling the entire artwork/design for their second release - Finnish band Lantern's Subterranean Effulgence MCD, due out in July. Their first release, a reissue of Canadian Tsimshian cult Gyibaaw's Ancesteal War Hymns album is due out within a few days - get it or regret it.

UK horde Wodensthrone asked me to a create a new logo based on the existing design by the infamous Christophe Szpajdel and this is what I came up with - a quite stripped back and refined design still fitting of the band. This logo will feature on their soon to be reissued album Loss as well as a shirt design that I'm currently working on - both to be released/distributed by Candlelight/Plastichead this year.

Typographical Tattoo Design

I recently designed this tattoo for Mr. Pimms. It's a Croatian proverb meaning 'Every man is the architect of his own fortune'. Incidentally it's his day of birth today, so if you're in the Auckland CBD tonight and see a chap with this tattoo, buy him a drink(or kick him in the nuts)!

As 2009 comes to a close...

News:

- No new commissions will be taken or worked on until approximately February 2010. Feel free to contact me about work etc nonetheless.

- Witchrist will have a 12" MLP entitled 'Steel Jaw Choronzon - Messiah Komplex' released by Iron Bonehead Records Germany in 2010. Illustration/Design in progress.

- Projects lined up for early 2010 include a TBA project with Aethyrvorous from Australia, artwork for the Vasaeleth(USA)/Vorum(Finland) split 7"EP to be released by Negative Existence Records USA, artwork for the Burning Winds(USA)/Nocturnal Evil(Argentina) Split 7"EP and some limited screen prints of new art. 2010 will be THE year. More to come.

- Working on the layout for the long awaited Skuldom(New Zealand) album. You can listen to the track 'Dying Bleeding Burning Kneeling' HERE. Due out 2010.

- 2 songs for the MLP are completed, and we are working on the 3rd and 4th tracks. We hope to start recording in the first quarter of 2010.

- Several gigs in Europe are currently being planned, as well as a UK date. News on them as they are confirmed.
